Accessibility

Neighborhood

As you pull onto the main road to access our cabin you will notice commercial buildings along with several trailer homes, that are similar to the TV show the OZARKS. Cabin at the Ozarks is nestled in the woods sitting in a quiet waterfront cove. The private road is a little bumpy and the driveway is steep but once you are on the property you will be amazed how it is hidden. The neighbors keep to themselves but will be there for you in a drop of a hat and we request you do the same.

Guest Access

Everything in the cabin, yard, and dock, except the jet skis, are yours to use during your stay.

The hair clearly care about their guests’ stays - the home is full of small details that they have obviously out time and effort into. We found plenty of games and puzzles, a well appointed and labeled kitchen, and enjoyed a couple days here stuck inside due to rain. Their warning about the steepness of the driveway are serious - my FWD Sportage had a difficult time making it up the hill of both it and the other parking area, so make sure to be mindful. Overall we would absolutely stay with these hosts again, here or at any other properties they may have.

This is a very nice cabin. My family enjoyed our stay very much. We played games and Ping Pong, because it rained. This did not dampen our enjoyment. The only negative, which is not much of a negative, is the driveway to the cabin. Make sure you park in the guest lot. If you don't, get a good run up the hill. Thanks for such a nice place. We will be back for sure.

Perfect house for a lake weekend! Nothing but good things to say. The driveway and even upper lot is not for the weak. All wheel mini van did get stuck trying to leave the driveway and struggles with the upper lot. Great stay, just make sure you have a vehicle equipped for steep hills and gravel.

We had a great friends weekend away at Lake of the Ozarks! The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location right on the water. We spent the morning fishing and kayaking, and the evenings in the screened-in porch.

We loved our stay: 4 bedrooms allowed for more guests and so my daughter was able to invite a few friends from college which was great. They allowed me to bring my dog which made the vacation so much more enjoyable as many local restaurants also welcome pets. The home is on a quite, forested alcove, where the mist rose from the lake each morning and deer and their fawns came for morning drinks. We will be back, thanks!

Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for! The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed plus some extras for our stay! The area was just want we were looking for- peaceful and serene with lots of things to do and see within a short or sometimes even walkable area! My family enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding along with watching all the local wide life! The armadillo watch at night was definitely a favorite memory for all of us! Hosts were easy to get in touch with through the app messaging and were very responsive! They aren’t kidding about the driveway! It is very intimidating at night! But definitely manageable! It is less intimidating after the first time! We had a small compact car which did fine parking in their “upper” parking space and a SUV that handled the “main” drive without issues! We look forward to staying again in the future!

Find us

It is nestled in with million dollar homes, trailer homes and commercial properties. Some areas look very run down but please know the people at the Lake of the Ozarks will be right there to help but they want their privacy. We ask that when you are at the cabin, please stay on the property. Next door to us is a red trailer home, that is not our property. Please be respectful to all the properties surrounding the cabin. STEEP DRIVEWAY: The roads are not great, we installed fresh rock on the private road, Excalibur, but the road is still very bumpy. Please drive slow. We have seen every type of car handle the driveway, but please note, motorcycles CANNOT handle the steep or gravel driveway. If you are arriving late at night, please be cautious. It is dark at the cabin and when you aren't expecting the steep driveway, it will scare you. It is very intimidating when you initially turn onto our driveway, after that it is not as scary, but it is very, very intimidating at first.
